Bermudian sailor Rachael Betschart celebrated a major milestone
last week, securing third place in the female category and 51st
overall, at the prestigious Waszp Games—the de facto world
championships—held in Weymouth, Dorset, England.
Competing against 220 top sailors from around the globe,
Betschart qualified for the gold fleet, the top third of competitors.
She shared the podium with Pearl Lattanzi (USA) and Mina
Ferguson (Australia). Rachael credited her shore team, coaches,
and family for their unwavering support.
