Sebastian Kempe and Nicole Stovall represented Bermuda against
the best youth sailors from across the Americas in the Parana
River sailing location at Incarnation. Sebastian competed in
the men’s ILCA7 class whilst Nicole raced in the women’s ILCA6
class. Both fleets had 19 entries. Light airs dominated conditions
initially with the series ending in stronger winds. Second only to
Charles Barclay of the USA, Sebastian claimed the silver medal
for Bermuda with Gustavo Kiessling of Brazil, the bronze. Nicole
meanwhile secured a very respectable 9th place overall.
Sebastian Kempe is currently running 2nd overall, at the 2025
ILCA Under-21 World Championships in Dublin Bay, Ireland.
